For forty years, Shelby Humane has saved thousands of dogs and cats through local adoptions and a nationally recognized transport program that partners with other animal welfare organizations in northern states. We promote responsible pet ownership and the humane treatment of animals by offering basic pet wellness and spay/neuter services in collaboration with veterinarians in the greater Birmingham area, and through public education. Beginning in 2018, we will support our rural communities through Shelby Outreach and help protect victims of domestic violence and their pets through our Shelby SafePet program.
Shelby Humane is looking for people to be part of our team. Our employees work hard, help make important decisions, hold each other accountable, and share a commitment to the animals in our care. Shelby Humane also provides career opportunities to people who want more responsibility. We are currently updating our training and technical certification programs. Join us and help make decisions that will define the future of Shelby Humane.
